Noxious Weed Appeal Committee
The Noxious Weed Appeal Committee is an appointed committee whose duties are to review cases in which landowners have failed to control noxious weeds, have been sent an individual notice (“Notice 1” form) from the County Agriculture Inspector, and have appealed that notice. In these cases, the appeal committee must meet, inspect the land, and decide what the next course of action shall be. They decide whether or not the County Agriculture Inspector may hire the control or eradication work done.
The Planning Commission holds public hearings for requests for Use Permits, Interim Ordinances, Ordinance Changes / Amendments, Platted Subdivisions, Rezoning and Single Lot Subdivisions (that cannot be approved administratively).

The SWCD Board is responsible for policy development, annual plans, long range plans and budgets.
