Community Service Work

The Probation Office administers the Community Work Service (CWS) program in Clay County. CWS is a court imposed condition intended to serve as a consequence and a restorative gesture to the community. CWS can be ordered to satisfy a fine condition, in cases where an offender is unable to financially meet the fine obligation, or as a consequence.

Work Sites

Offenders perform CWS at designated work sites which are nonprofit, such as government offices, educational programs or charitable organizations.

All participants are screened for their appropriateness for the program and work sites.

Getting Paid

The offender's account is credited $10 per hour for each hour of work performed.
