In order for your property tax payment to be considered on time, your payment must meet 1 of these 3 conditions:
- Property tax must be paid in the Clay County Treasurer's Office by the due date.
- The envelope must be postmarked by the due date.
- The online payment must be made by 11:59 p.m. on the due date to be considered paid on time.

Personal Property
Personal Property located on leased government-owned land
May 15* and November 15*
Agricultural Non-Homesteads
August 31* and November 15*
Manufactured Homes - the title to your manufactured home cannot be transferred unless all current and delinquent personal property taxes levied at the time of the transfer are paid.
*If the due date falls on a weekend (Saturday or Sunday), the due date will be Monday.
Penalty for Late Payments
If you pay your first half or second half property tax after the due dates, a penalty will be added to your tax. The later you pay, the greater the penalty you must pay. The penalty rates are listed on the back of your tax statement.
