It is the mission of this department to support the goals and objectives of Clay County by providing services in all personnel operations with integrity, responsiveness, and sensitivity. We will promote a work environment that is characterized by fair treatment of staff, open communications, personal accountability, trust, and mutual respect. Our goal is to provide solutions to workplace issues that support and optimize the operating principles of Clay County.

Department Responsibilities

The Human Resources Department develops, implements, administers and supports human resource and management programs to include:

  • Employee Relations
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Employee and Management Training and Development
  • Employee Compensation and Benefits
  • Staffing
  • Collective Bargaining
