Moorhead does not offer testing at this time you must schedule an appointment at 1 of the DVS exam Stations locations, at drive.mn.gov. These locations are open: St. Paul, Arden Hills, Anoka, Eagan, Plymouth, Rochester, Mankato, Marshall, Willmar, Detroit Lakes, St. Cloud, Duluth, Grand Rapids, and Bemidji. Exam stations are only offering a certain number of knowledge tests at one time in order to maintain social distancing in light of COVID-19
If you lost or need to do a standard renewal without changing your name or address you can do a renewal online, however please be aware you will not be able to obtain a receipt from our office after completing the online application.
Minnesotans do not need to rush to renew their driver’s license or ID card at this time. Minnesota law automatically extends the expiration of any driver’s license, ID card or permit that would have expired between March 13 and Sept. 30 to Oct. 31.
If you had a class D road test canceled and didn’t receive an email to reschedule by the date noted below, you should still be able to log in to drive.mn.gov using the applicant’s information to reschedule. If you cannot, please contact the DVS public information center at (651) 284-1000 or (651) 284-1234 and wait for an available agent for help.
