Emergency Preparedness Program

Clay County Public Health is engaged in preparing the county for all types of emergencies, especially public health emergencies. Through the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program, Public Health partners with emergency management, Sheriff's Office, police and fire departments, regional EMS agencies and healthcare organizations to ensure effective response and recovery for Clay County and its residents.

Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program leads the agency's preparedness and response activities by planning, training, collaborating and coordinating. Activities addressed by Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program include the Cities Readiness Initiative, community planning and resilience, and emergency response to disasters such as flooding, tornadoes and ice storms.
