Starting Salary Range

  • Starting Salary: $19.89 per hour
  • After 6 months:  $20.59 per hour upon successful completion of a six-month probationary period
  •   At 1 Year of employment:  $21.28 per hour   

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or a (2) year college or technical school certificate;
  •  1-3 years of related work experience preferably in Paralegal, Legal Assistant or Real Estate or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 
  • Ability to be bonded;
  • Valid Driver’s license;
  • Applicant must successfully complete a background investigation.

Duties and Essential Functions

    • The listed examples may not include all the duties performed by all positions in this class.

       

      • Provide customer service through effective verbal and written communication to a wide audience
      • Issue state certified birth and death certificates, marriage licenses and marriage certificates per state regulations
      • File notary commissions, ministerial credentials and military discharge records
      • Examine real estate documents for recordability according to Minnesota State Statutes
      • Document scanning, data entry and general clerical duties
      • Performs technical duties such as interpreting legal descriptions

      • You would be great for this role if you:
      • Are comfortable with change and continuous improvement in your daily work
      • Have an intermediate or higher level of expertise with Adobe Professional as well as accurate cash handling skills
      • Can coordinate a high volume of diverse assignments and multiple competing priorities with a strong attention to detail
      • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
      • Have patience and adaptability in handling workloads
