  • $28.23 per hour.  

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university in Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, Journalism, English or a similar major
    • 3-5 years of prior-work related experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Successfully complete a background investigation

Duties and Essential Functions

The listed examples may not include all the duties performed by all positions in this class. 

  • Assist with County Board meetings to include taking official minutes, create agendas and other administrative duties.
  • Maintain meeting schedule for the County Administrator
  • Attend committee meetings and coordinate general activities for management
  • Establish or maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of the community, employee or public interest groups.
  • Write press releases to promote Clay County programs and services
  • Coordinate meetings, press conferences and presentations
  • Create content for the county website, blogs, brochures and newsletters.
  • Other duties as assigned.
