In order to make government more accessible and informative to its citizens and allow for a more participative process, Clay County will provide a live video stream of county board meetings on its website. Clay County will also provide a DVD copy of the broadcast to cable stations throughout the county to rebroadcast at their discretion.
The video of the county board meetings is being made only for broadcast purposes. The official record of proceedings before the Clay County Board of Commissioners shall be the county board minutes as approved by the Clay County commission. Video Retention & DVDs
Clay County will retain the video on its website for a period of 1 year or to the maximum capacity of the video server. Archived copies will be retained in the Information Services Department. DVD copies of the video will be made available for a fee. The Clay County Board of Commissioners will not videotape any public meetings or public hearings that are held anywhere other than the Clay County board room. Only those proceedings held in the board room will be videotaped.
