Telephone Books

It is important to know that telephone books have been banned from landfills in Minnesota since 1992.

Residents can choose between two other available options.

The first and most favorable option is to opt-out of receiving telephone books. This can be done by going to the National Yellow Pages Consumer Choice and Opt-Out Site. Once you are at the website, you will be prompted to enter your zip code and then register your information to fully opt-out of receiving telephone books. Registration is free.

Another available option is to recycle your telephone books. Recycling is easy and free for Clay County residents. Telephone books can be recycled at the following city recycling drop-sites: Comstock, Felton, Georgetown, Hawley, Hitterdal, and Sabin, as well as the Resource Recovery Center in Moorhead.
